With a diversity of experience in the global industry, Nikoloz Kandelaki has facilitated the scheduling, staging and production of concerts, managed the upward trajectory of artist’s careers, and effectively guided collaborations with major corporate sponsors, international venues, booking agencies and artist management companies on behalf of a roster of celebrated performers.
In 2017-2018, Nikoloz worked as an assistant tour manager with Macy Gray, coordinating details of the Grammy-winning artist’s festival and concert appearances both in the U.S. and Europe. In 2017, he interned with the legendary Quincy Jones, focusing on QJP artists to implement artist development strategies.
The grandson of the originator of the Tbilisi Jazz Festival and the director of the only record label in the Soviet Union, Melodia, Nikoloz grew up in in the Republic of Georgia immersed in the music industry. His father is the co-founder of Eastern Promotions, a company that currently manages a 2400 capacity concert hall, owns and promotes three major festivals, and produces major arena and stadium tours for artists from Robert Plant to Elton John. Nikoloz managed the venue and staff, handled bookings and negotiations, and facilitated concert-marketing details. Fluent in English, Russian and Georgian, he hosted artists like Maroon 5, Snoop Dogg, Lauryn Hill and many others for the company as a celebrity liaison.
To develop his career on the international front, Nikoloz earned honors as a scholar with a Bachelor of Arts, Business & Finance degree from Heriot-Watt University in London, UK. He was presented with an academic excellence certificate upon his graduation with a Master of Arts in Music Industry Administration degree from California State University, Northridge.
Nikoloz is currently active in a slate of creative projects, including arranging concert dates for recording artist and bassist Nik West. He planned high profile performances for the artist at the Quincy Jones 85th birthday celebration concert at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, the Umbria Jazz Festival in Italy, the White Nights Festival in Russia and, as well as endorsements with the jewelry company Bulova and Vanderhall Motor Works. He also coordinated a recording project for the artist with funk legend Larry Graham, Macy Gray and Cindy Blackman, drummer for (and Mrs.) Carlos Santana.
